Stress-Reduction for the Healthcare Professional
Learn to quantify, identify, and prevent burnout in healthcare. Understand internal and external causes, social and professional risk factors, for a path towards wellness.
About this course
Burnout in the healthcare profession is rampant, and it’s not difficult to see why. Professionals work under intense pressure for hours on end, often with little or no recognition. But while burnout may appear to be solely related to the job, the truth is that it’s more complicated than that. Some people are more prone to burnout, and it helps to understand the internal causes of burnout as much the external causes. This course will go over how to quantify burnout, how burnout occurs, and what can be done to prevent it. Learning more about the social and professional risk factors may not solve every problem, but it can put professionals on a better track toward wellness (without having to quit their job).
